Prince facts that you just can't wrap your head around

Startling, surprising, and amazing things. Here's one of mine, to start:

Pop Life was recorded before When Doves Cry. That just warps my whole concept of the universe. eek

I love the original TTB. It's so awesome. I want to learn how to play it. So fast, rockin'. I like the GB version but definitely prefer the 80s one.

are you sure the version we heard was? if so, the friction that the song alludes to within the Time was going on for quite a while before the breakup. Prince said it in his RS interview, that the main reason the time broke up was that Jesse wanted to be the star. Prince always showed incredible insight in many ways, he said that god doesn't put everyone in the same bag and that not everyone can be up front. That kind of friction destroys more bands than I care to mention.

Some of you might have known this already, but apparently Prince played guitar on Madonna’s ‘Like a Prayer’ and according to co-writer Patrick Leonard there was loads material Prince recorded for the song, but Madge and co. cut most of it!
