I have been trying to find out which Prince song that is playing very shortly in this Youtube video but no one is answering me. Therefore, I try making a post about it and hope I am luckier with the replies

It seems to be a 90´s song and a duet. To me, the woman singing somehow reminds me of Madonna but I know it´s not her. She sings: "I want you to want me..." and something after that I don´t catch. Anyway, the song starts at 14.30.

No, that actually is Madonna, song is called "I want you."

Okay, thank you very much. Seems like it got me good, I thought it was a Prince collaboration since it featured him in the video clip. But at least now I know.

Yep, that's from 's Love 4 One Another special on VH1, a favorite of mine. He looks up at the TV, and sees Madonna's video for "I Want You". She covered the Marvin Gaye song for her ballad compilation, Something To Remember, named after a track from Dick Tracy. It was released just before her break to film & record Evita. There are two versions that bookend the album, one being more orchestral in nature.

I never understood why Prince sorta jabbed at her like that. But maybe he heard something that someone heard that someone heard that she said.
