Bought "Phase 2" and much needed new copies of "Controversy" and "1999".

The only thing I didn't have at that point was Rave Un2 the Year 2000 on DVD. It was one of those things I had on my wishlist for ages and just never got around to buying it. Shock, I know. I looked for it on ebay and noticed that it had gone up significantly in price. I ended up buying it on discogs for $18.

Each time I moved over the years I kept fewer and fewer of my vinyl until 2012. I still had my original PR album and kept that plus maybe 4 other records. Then I lost it with everything else I owned, I won't go into the details.

Anyway when Prince died I realized I had sort of "forgotten" about him in "some way" over the years, but at the same time there must've been a reason I kept that PR album, toting it around with my for 30 years.

Then all the feelings came. Many of them. And I started listening to him more and more on YouTube and the radio and went out and bought 2 earlier CDs to get more, and because I wanted to honor his principle of actually BUYING his music.

I kept watching youtube though and realized that in order to get the full package you have to SEE him perform. I am currently looking for any live audio concerts I can purchase, especially if newer music.

Also, a lot like P I don't like to keep my head in the past and I also grew spiritually (away from the overt sexual stuff). To my delight, I LOVE his more recent music. He was still just as talented AND matured in every way. Is "The Love We Make" on a newer album (3rd eye girl)? I really dig that band.

^ 'The love we make' is on the 'Emancipation' album. PrinceVault.com would be a useful site for you, for discographies etc etc.
"We just let people talk & say whatever they want 2 say. 9 times out of 10, trust me, what's out there now, I wouldn't give nary one of these folks the time of day. That's why I don't say anything back, because there's so much that's wrong" - P, Dec '15

Folks should wait on buying stuff like that SOTT blu-ray until they are reviewed. It could just be sourced from the vhs or laserdisc.

The Australian Sign 'O' The Times Blu-ray has been reviewed on the org many times. It is not sourced from VHS or laserdisc.
