How sad. | |

I often have thought how sad places can be when people have left ... after laughter, tears and creativity.
Must be very eerie, very sad right now.

I've been thinking about this as well. So much history there, and now all that silence. I do hope they can find a constructive use for the building.

When my grandmother passed away her house seemed so different. The atmosphere, the decor, everything was just so bleak. I couldn't imagine how different somewhere like PP will be now.

It's the people that live in a house that makes it a home. As humans we have a life force, an energy that omits into the atmosphere and when that person is gone from the home it feels desolate and very empty. When you have a huge personality like prince was the feeling is even more palpable. Baby, you're a star.

just driving past it, is haunting...it went from looking like a giant, pristine, futurist, funk laboratory, to looking like a space-age mausoleum...in one day...what a shame..theyve started taking all the pictures and flowers off the fencing...its such a dark scene out there, now...i still cant get over seeing all those FED trucks lined up outside Paisley Park...like P had pounds of blow or a stockade of guns and ammunition store inside...part of me believes those trucks werent doing a raid for drugs, but agents sent by Warner Brothers to get as much music and gear out the building as they could...why all those trucks, for some damn pills?... Aww man, i remember when they were building it. Always wanted 2 go "We just let people talk & say whatever they want 2 say. 9 times out of 10, trust me, what's out there now, I wouldn't give nary one of these folks the time of day. That's why I don't say anything back, because there's so much that's wrong" - P, Dec '15

[Edited 5/22/16 6:31am] Speaking of which, I know cameras were filming this, my question is did they film when the FED trucks left and did they film what they took? [Edited 5/22/16 8:09am] Love is God,

it is always sad when the place where someone lived, and in this case worked, gets dismantled piece by piece until the building is left empty. i hope they preserve this stuff well and that eventually, pp becomes a place where music can again be created and maybe taught. and please, seal that elevator or better yet, fill it in and put some nice portraits or artifacts on the outside wall. "If u love somebody, your life won't be in vain
And there's always a rainbow, at the end of every rain."--peace and love, dear prince.....

If it was up to me I'd try to keep it running as a working studio, as well as hosting a Prince museum and a music school in his honour.

This. Me too , Prince said he would like to be a teacher of music so a music school would be a cool way of honouring his wishes in some part.

I hope it becomes a museum one day. After my mom died our house had a very weird feeling as if all of the positive energy was sucked out of it because of the person my mom was. As for the elevator, I hope they do something with it like seal it up or maybe a tiny memorial like what Selena fans did after she passed when they decorated the door of the room that she was killed in Forever In My Life, forever in my heart. I love you Prince Rogers Nelson

I actually don't like the idea of PP becoming a museum someday It will be like another Graceland and that just seems odd to me.It's hard to imagine that Prince would have wanted that to happen

PP was his home so the idea of people going through his home would bother him.

Bulldoze it like it never existed. I can't even stomach it being a Graceland give me a break a music school no Museum no way. This was an asteroid that came, burned brightly and is gone that's it. It'll always be a source of pain if its left standing.
