Did Prince dig other Minnesota artists?

I know there was some interaction (at PP) with Paul Westerberg, but do we have Prince on record mentioning digging any other famous/semi-famous Minnesota artists? We do know that he supported local up and coming artists for years. But what about bands like Husker Du, the Replacements, The Jay Hawks, Low and of course, the most famous Minnesotan musician (in addition to P!), Mr. Bob Dylan?

Jesse said that he (and P) would go check out a band called The Phones. He said they loved their British/punk/new wave sound and that they were great. I saw some of their clips online and they rock pretty good...I can hear some of their influence on "Dirty Mind" and "Controversy".
