^yeah, that's the tough part for me. just a few hours and he could still be alive. also, to find out the best rehab facility in the country was 10 mins from pp. sigh. RIP Sweet Man

im wondering if the program at the doctor in California's rehab did not sound more appealing . It doesn't appear to be a strict 30-90 day in patient program, whereas
Hazeldon, Betty Ford has a reputation of being tough, but effective.Perhaps those around him thought this a more likely option he would agree to and tolerate ? We need to remember that even when people in an addiction or dependancy admit they need help, it's natural for them to be apprehensive and find a million reasons why they cannot attend a certain program. Perhaps Hazeldon was looked into and rejected. Many who have been there like it to a boot camp..albeit a boot camp that saved their life .It's hard enough and scary enough to even consider treatment, let alone one with a reputation for being tough..,but effective . The final story is pride kills. After avoiding death with an emergency landing, still too proud to ask someone to stick around just in case. Prince is the second person I've lost to pride. No More Haters on the Internet.

This is exactly what went down. If you're one of Prince's employees and he tells you he wants to be alone, you leave or he fires you and you get thrown out by security. No one could have done ANYTHING legally to help. No conspiracy, no murder. Simply pride.

Truth be Known, He probably should have given those people at the Atlanta concert a refund, and checked in the substance addiction program. Even when he dodged the plane emergency landing, he then should have then immediately checked in; instead he was hosting a party and going to the Dakota club, etc. etc. So putting it bluntly a "hard head makes a soft butt"... Unless The "I" and/or Record Executives devised some skeem to take him out as some people think. [Edited 5/22/16 12:19pm]

Of all the speculation and round and round again circles we've been through on this forum, the "WHY WAS HE LEFT ALONE?!?!?!?!" argument shouldn't still be happening. No one killed Prince. No one is at fault for him being alone because he was a grown man who wanted to be alone. It's especially easy to accomplish that when everyone around you is on the payroll. Why was Amy Winehouse left alone at bedtime when she had relapsed and was drinking an ENTIRE BOTTLE of vodka in front of her body guards? Because she wanted it. Why was a stoned, sluggish Elvis allowed to go to the bathroom alone? I'm not even going to answer that. Why was Kurt Cobain left alone when he was "suicidal"? Because he wanted to be alone and evaded anyone who came into contact with him. I'm spying a trend here.

Reminds me of this joke, sadly: There is a huge flood and a man sits on his roof. He starts panicking, knowing he can’t swim. This man happens to be a priest and decides that God will save him. A lifeboat comes along asking the priest if he wants any help. The priest says, “No, God will save me” A helicopter comes along asking the priest if he wants any help. The priest says, “No, God will save me” A cruise liner comes along asking the priest if he wants any help. The priest says, “No, God will save me” Half an hour later the priest is dead. He goes up to heaven and asks God, “Why didn’t you save me?” “I SENT YOU A LIFEBOAT, A HELICOPTER AND A CRUISE LINER! WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT?!!!!” "Just like the sun, the Rainbow Children rise."
