REPORT: Prince dead at least 6 hours when found He had been deceased for several hours when found. My question is, Who dropped him off at Paisley Park and was he ill at all? Was it Kirky J? How can a person be at the hospital one night, then dropped off without someone checking on him for so many hours?

That's the best question and the one that makes no sense at all

It was Prince's home and he wanted to be alone. It is sad but not hard to understand, imo.
...and while friends obviously knew his situation, they thought everything would be ok because he was getting help, I'm sure. Plus, is someone really going to bother him in the middle of the night, waking him up, just to check on him?
They can't stay if Prince doesn't want them to be there AND it's not like anyone knew he would be dead the next day...

Well, he threw a party in between and told everyone he was alright. For starters.

If Prince had been dead for 6 hours when his body was discovered, makes me wonder if he was trying to get help because he wasn't feeling well-- maybe a reaction to the meds he was taking-- and only made it to the elevator before he passed out and died. I knew it and I hate to say this on here but I believe he was killed. Sorry if I upset anyone with this comment but I find it all to be very suspicious.

I always assumed it was HOURS, since they originally reported that his body was already in rigor mortis, when found.

If you take the wrong combination of meds you just stop breathing. Happened to a friend of mine - no foul play and no intention of killing herself. Just slipped away with someone in the bed right next to her. Brand new boogie without the hero.

To protect against intruders, like including fans. [Edited 5/22/16 0:10am]

Whoever it was is probably living with more guilt than the average person could even begin to comprehend. The blame game only works when there is actually a person to be blamed.

Well it does matter because they can speak to his state of mind, if they saw him take any more meds or pills, if he seemed lethargic, etc.
By the way, I do believe there was neglect in some way, with the doctors giving him combinations of drugs in his last days that ultimately KILLED him. I'm no expert, just my opinion.

Wasn't it Kirky J? I believe that was what they reported anyway.

They must have believed it was okay to let him go home. While I can't speak to Prince's state of mind, I know that when I'm not feeling great, I want to be alone. But even if someone was physically at that location, it's possible that Prince could still die without being noticed for hours if someone thought he was asleep. Paisley Park is a big place.

the wrestler chyna, who passed shortly before prince, apparently was on multiple meds (and i know we don't know yet if that was the case with prince). the person who found her said she looked to be asleep on the couch after having taken too much/the wrong combo and just drifted away. i believe she was found the next day. he said she looked very peaceful. "If u love somebody, your life won't be in vain
And there's always a rainbow, at the end of every rain."--peace and love, dear prince.....

This thought has circled my mind alot. What was Prince doing between the time he was dropped off and when he got in the elevator? I think he went striaght to the studio (which is on 1st floor) to work on stuff and then decided to stop around 3am-ish. Got in elevator and collapsed. Possibly heart failure. Then he was discovered dead between 9am-9:30am. Sigh. I wont get my purple high...no more. [Edited 5/22/16 8:51am] ~ formerly ZsaZsaZsu and Technagirl, living in LaLaLand Ba-bey!!

Very true. nothing could have been a guarantee. But then if someone were there specfically to keep an eye on him until more help could arrive, that person would have more likely been proactive and would have been constantly checking on him. Increasing the odds of finding him soon enough for the paramedics to arrive, which I understand were 5 minutes away. I've read it's quite normal for Prince not to go to sleep until around 6am. someone around keeping an eye out wouldn't be asleep either.

I just read the article on this site written by his photographer and she stated she's been LIVING at PP for the 3 yrs she was employed there. So I wonder where she was all this time?? Hmmm

I have no idea what happened - I am happy to wait until the final postmortem/ toxicology reports come through - but I am finding the constant nudge-nudge/ wink-wink hints towards Kirk and/ or others distasteful. If it turns out someone has made a terrible error of judgement, maybe then we can have an opinion, but until then I wouldn`t want to make assumptions about people I have never met and about circumstances I wasn`t present in.
Just my two cents. [Edited 5/22/16 10:11am] This is not an exit

Most people die alone. Death is not pleasant and is never convenient. The notion that people die peacefully in their sleep or surrounded by loved ones doesn't happen most of the time. Stop assuming that because he was alone that somebody is at fault. Folks acting like he needed a 24-hour nurse and a watch dog. Sadly, a lot of famous folks are found dead alone ( Amy winehouse, chyna, Elvis , Chris Farley etc). I'm sure Kirk and others who actually KNEW him feel some sort of level of guilt, but at the end of the day you go when you go, no matter where you are.

It's annoying that possible help was only a few hours away. That's going to take awhile to digest whether anyone approves of it or not. It's haughting people.
