I'm still trying to make sense of it all and the best I can do is that Prince just fell into a dark, deadly trap with the painkillers. It was just like he was walking down the street and fell into a hole that he couldn't get out of. Much of it was bad luck that he had hip pain and had to take medication for that, but he got in too deep and then his thinking was impaired and he couldn't make rational decisions. Drugs affect your brain chemistry and obviously change how and what you think. He just wasn't thinking rationally, but I'm sure chronic pain will do that to you, especially when you add some mind altering pain drugs on top of that.

Such a tragic situation and loss for the world and for him, but at least he is no longer in pain.

Yeah I hear you. We all had him on such a high pedestal and I am sorry he couldn't be stronger and not go there in the first place. But we are all human... he did and sounded like he was starting to accept he needed help but it was too late as it normally always is.
