The Rainbow Children has won... me over. There's been so much talk on the board about it that I started really listening to it, and now I can't stop. Even though I can't get down with all the lyrics, it's rocking my world. When I listen to 1+1+1 Is 3, I can't help but dance. Last December has a great anthemic sound. Yes, I'm willing to do The Work. And as the album plays, I find myself thinking things like, "Gee, She Loves Me 4 Me would make a great single" and "Wow, Prince can even make misogyny funky." I've especially been listening to Everlasting Now over and over, and every time he gets to the part where he says, "Tear it up!" it sends chills down my spine. So I give up. Uncle. TRC is great. | |

Mine, too...first time I heard "Everlasting Now", I commented on that part back on the old Org... So I give up. Uncle. TRC is great.

To this day, it's the worst album he's ever done, even worse than NPS. It's sad that the same man who created albums like 1999, Purple Rain, Parade, SOTT, Lovesexy, etc, has become such a wack ass musician. I downloaded TRC and dumped the files after trying to give them a chance. It was a horrible shot to my ears.

I think Rainbow is so good that it will take years for people to really feel it. Most r turned off by the preaching, (I think the preaching is one of the best parts and NO I am not a JW or want to be one)but overall it is truly an amazing CD | |
