I got an unhelpful response. They said that it is on a player on their homepage, so it won't be limited to 2 weeks (does this mean it will be archived for 2 weeks after removal from the homepage? No answer on when it goes away).

Regarding the .m3u8 file...I could not find it in the source code after digging, so I used a trace in Chrome. When you actively select the link, it appears in the developer tools window.

At the 02:42:12 mark, is this the best quality version of Prince's version of Baby You're A Trip in circulation? (Starts as the Kiss ending guitar is fading out - unfortunately crossfades a bit so you can hear the Kiss guitar ending over the drum intro to Baby You're A Trip).

That "Baby You're A Trip" sounds good, but I'd have to A/B it with the copy from Perfect Unreleased Prince - That was the first time the song had appeared in Stereo and was a major upgrade. At first listen, the copy that this DJ played doesn't sound as good - but it could just be the mp3 compression. I'm not sure what bitrate the MP4 from the stream is, but it can't be that high.

That being said, this was a wonderful, wonderful tribute show, and my hat's off to the folks who put it together, and for this cat bringing out his personal tapes. Tremendous. AND THAT SUPER COPY OF "PURPLE RAIN"?!?

I owe you a drink or 6. Thank you. It has bugged me (as I'm sure it has everyone who's heard or seen the Aug 3, 1983 show) about the warped and mangled opening notes. My Heart Stopped when it came on, crystal and clear. Thank you.
