It just sounds too much like a copy of Bohemian Rhapsody. I LOVE BR...but Prince just doesn't make it work on 3 Chains.
The song irritates me.

Now for the above post I agree GB, Solo, & I Rock suck the big one. But the rest are decent tunes...especially Last December. I LOVE that tune.

Other horrible songs? Mr Happy, Eye No, Jughead, My Name is Prince, Dolphin, Hot With U, Everyday Is A Winding Road

its a meatloaf ripoff. these big grand songs like bohemian rasphody and paranoid anroid can sometimes be quite cool, but they can also be a chore to listen to when you're not in the mood.

3 chains of gold wouldnt have been so bad if it would have dropped the melodramatic and corny story line. Mayte screaming out "give back the chains! if you dont you will die!" makes me cringe.

Yeah sometimes Prince overeaches his grasp & comes up with overwrought #'s like 3 Chains but i appreciate the fact that at least he tries & is not afraid to put it out for all to hear, having said that the guitar solo smokes!!!
