prince.org makes yahoo news

Greetings Purple People, I hope today finds all of you well.

Stumbled across this reference to prince.org on yahoo today and thought some of you might be interested - Especially McD, whom it quotes. Here are a few snippets, click the link for the entire article.

Prince’s best friend could be key in death investigation

A central figure in the Prince death investigation is the superstar’s longtime friend and right-hand man, who had a cameo in the movie “Purple Rain.”

According to a search warrant, detectives interviewed Kirk A. Johnson — a former Prince drummer and current manager of the singer’s Paisley Park estate — following the performer’s unexpected death last month.

The court document, obtained by the Los Angeles Times, discloses that police seized Prince Rogers Nelson’s medical records from a Minneapolis-area hospital in early May. Investigators were particularly interested in files involving a family-medicine doctor ...ted Prince in the weeks before the singer was found dead April 21 in a Paisley Park elevator.

The warrant also reveals Johnson, 51, told detectives that Prince had gone to another local medical clinic for an illness in 2014 or 2015.

“I’m pretty sure Kirky J knows more about our beloved Prince than any other living soul,” a commenter wrote earlier this month on Prince.org, a fan community forum.

The Carver County Sheriff’s Office declined to answer questions about Johnson’s role in the investigation.

I don't like it. It's lazy journalism and be careful what you post in here because people are going to be reading it.

Hmm didn't really think about it, I guess that is a bit sloppy to basically just quote a fans opinion as evidence of anything. On the other hand, it is not an article from AP or something, pretty much an op-ed by a syndicated yahoo news writer - And like nursev says, makes sense for them to prowl a place like this to try to pick up tidbits ,, Who knows, maybe the guy is a fan and has an account here.

I think its cool his inner circle is clamming up, but I have the feeling that shortly it will go the other way, with nearly everyone associated with him and their grandmas too writing a book.

Boy I hope they dont, everyone knows how much Prince valued his privacy. As to the "journalist" picking comments from the org, it is funny they are coming here for quotes but definetly concerning they would come here for a quote. Are we really the only ones still discussing what could have caused his death? How the world quickly forgets sad

How beautiful do the words have 2 be
Before they conquer every heart?
How will U know if I'm even in the right key
If U make me stop before I start?

Well these celebrity deaths do tend to blow over pretty quick. Probably comparible to a death in the family, most casual freinds and associates grieve for a few days or whatever while the family is forever scared and greiving, thats just the way it goes - And you true fans are like the family. As far as news goes, they will be up on the story just so long as they think it drives interest, and will drop it when it doesn't, guess you can't blame them for that.

The article also says Kirk J. lived in a house owned by Prince, two miles from PP.

Didn't P buy a house for Larry G. too?

The man bought a lot of houses for people...
