I am so disgusted with the media. They don't know Prince!

I am so disgusted with the media and what they're reporting on Prince. Prince was not a drug addict! He was a cool guy who was health conscious. He worked so hard to change his image and work on his spiritual self, he shouldn't be going down like this! The few who knew him, the many who worked with him are the ones who knew him! I'm still in shock, I'm devistated that he's left us so soon. I'm so hurt at watching the TV and what's being said about him.

You know what's pissed me off more than anything else?

The repeated references to "his Paisley Park mansion". It's not a mansion, it's a recording studio. He did have several mansions. It's just, Paisley Park was not one of them.

Paisley Park should be considered as the American Abbey Road, it's not fucking neverland.

/Rant.

SO TRUE!!!! I just wish that they would see him more for his genius than this nonsense other stuff. I especially hate the "All Prince's Women" angles... His many loves.

His first love, his only true love was the music. Most of his women left because he was so dedicated to the music. The women mostly just gave him experience to write about.

America doesn't care about art or music. Just scandal and glorifying drugs and sex.

Stop watching the media. Get on YouTube and watch as many videos as you can. Don't let the press get you down. Prince never did.
Surprise, surprise.
Another treat. Another trick.

Actually I think a lot of you are being whinny about the media. Most of the media is being very respectful of Prince. Sure they are jumping the gun and trying to find out what happen by peicing things together but that's normal stuff

Other than that horrible national enquirer story and the trash coming from those British tabloids I think the other stuff has been very tame

Yes don't watch the news media! It just makes it all WORSE!

What the Tabloid media are doing is DISHONESTY, Feeds FEAR and Anger, GREED, and INJUSTICE.

Still would stand all time....

Hopefully in this situation it will come out in the wash, in time.

Not holding my breath though.

The media dumbs down the masses, seems like it's easy to do as well. One guy, Rupert Murdoch controls about a third of the world's news outlets/organisations. One! I don't know about the rest but you got to wonder. Agenda everywhere, distractions. Self serving bullshit, pockets being lined, reputations tarnished, perpetual war. I don't pretend to get it and fully understand, but at the same time, i think i kind of do.

.

Call me a dreamer.

I was starting to get annoyed with the constant 'Prince's women' articles but lately I've realized that it really reminds the masses how he was a sex symbol back in his prime. Just my 2 cents.

I had avoided them for awhile to as I felt guilty as well but ... I missed a lot of interviews and shows and specials for pretty legit reasons. I also never really had a tv With cable or anything. I own all his music... Times 3 for some of it. I actually miss him more watching that stuff though. I mean I always knew he was a charming, funny guy. But damn. What a loss.

I REALLY love him. So many people who I didn't even know we're really even in to him are really hurting.
Surprise, surprise.

Of course they don't know Prince, to them the bottom line is making money from ratings etc. They pick and choose their targets and mythologise people, places and events in history. Although they have been alot nicer to Prince compared to MJ, Whitney or Amy Winehouse, there is this nasty undertone that is emerging. I don't like it one bit evil no no no!

I've never asked him his personal information, where was he born, his birthday, his favorite foods, favorite color, where he went to school etc...most of us already know that. I did meet him a few times, we've got mutual friends, I've had the opportunity to see him as a normal person just hanging out after a show chatting away, being treated like a normal human being. I liked him. I admired his music. Prince first true love was his music which came above and beyond any woman he'd met. To marry Prince would be to marry his music and always respect him for that. It takes a special kind of woman to be marrried and stay married to the music, almost like being married to a surgeon or a career military soldier, few woman can hold to the end. Prince was funny and kind, controlling but not ever out of control. He was a yes man, wanted only yes people around but he would never had said yes to drugs! He was smart, smart enough to know that after long time dependency on pills to ease the pain that eventually the body becomes addicted, not that his mind was. He was also smart and wise enough to know that the direction he was headed in would not have a positive outcome so he seeked help, but unfortunately it was to late and something went wrong.

I will not read the tabloids. I watch very little TV, It's just when I'm switching channels that I pick up on the talk.

True, but the daily articles and reporting has gone beyond saturation already. Every day there's more Prince related "news" in the paper and on tv. Maybe it's just Minnesota? At this point it's like they are grasping at any piece of inane information they can twist into something worthy of "reporting". Enough already!

With MJ, Whitney and Amy you could publicy see the self-dustruction so it played into the media's hands. With Prince they have really nothing to go on apart from pushing the pescription drugs story. They would've loved to pin a scandal on him while he was around, but he already knew how to play the media to his advantage.

The Media IS getting many things right, though. And willful ignorance won't change that. Prince was very troubled, very gullible, especially regarding politics in recent years, very deceptive, very talented, very honest in some interviews and lyrics, and very dishonest about more than a few other things.

Your opinion of Prince doesn't change the fact that he was NOT a drug addict.

Well you obviously didn't know him. He was very smart, and gullible he was not! But like the media, you didn't know him so I take no offense to your opinion of Prince. Good Day!
