on the cover of both the Dirty Mind and Controversy albums.

He's wearing the same briefs as well.

I'd agree. Though musically, i prefer 'Dirty Mind' as an album. Just, but only just.

Never noticed it, but his look was getting more and more refined. that "hair on one side that's swept back" was looking less unruly until in Purple Rain it looked positively sculpted. And he traded the pervert's trench coat in for edwardian ruffles suits.

That's what I'm sayin'. That trench coat isn't exactly new. Prince loves him a coat. Hell, he wore it on just about every single cover from 1980-1981, or in the liner notes, etc. He also wore the more purple trench coat on 1999 and Purple Rain. Had the same buttons down the sides of his pant legs from 1980 - ?. And OMG the cross necklace! He wore a cross necklace a lot, too!

It's actually two different jackets, but they are very similar.
