From my archives...Prince's broadcast: "The dawn nears... it's up 2 u!" Prince published this around the same time as the interview with his fans...circa 1998. It's a little creepy in retrospect:

I suspect Prince was lured in by the altruist doctine, popular in christianity and elsewhere, which, while preaching selflessness, inevitably leads to totalitarian control. Fear is the mind-killer. | |

Notice how he stresses the music being available instantly the day after it's announced.
That's the biggest goddamn joke of the whole ride! LOL. When you look at these kinds of official comments from Prince's camp, its pretty clear why some people are pissed with the way NPGMC ultimately materialized. | |
