She was at the LotusFlower launch party.. so that was 2009. Whatever their friendship or involvement it was pretty private.

What's with all the questioning of whether or not folks were friends? Dita is a human and in the entertainment industry. Why is it so outrageous that they would have crossed paths at some point and shared things in common and have been friends, dated (hell why can't a woman be around and they not have dated?), whatever? Like c'mon folks, let's act like adults. I've been seeing a lot of this type of speculation, and I mean I get it it's a message board, but it's almost like if the person wasn't a featured collaborator or if they weren't seen about town then they must not have known him. I don't know, it was just said that he was interested in her, and you all know how Prince was about the ladies, especially the ones he probably thought was attractive.

Y'all killing me deciding who gets to be his friend, how close their relationship is allowed to be, and what events they are allowed to attend.

My thoughts exactly. I'm actually loving hearing about all the friends he had and all of the other aspects of his personality like being a ping-pong master, a prank phone caller, and perhaps a burlesque fan(?). It's been the one silver lining of this whole thing.

Thanks for not taking that the wrong way. I'm a fan of hers, and knowing what I do of her personality, it's not suprising to me at all that she'd be friends with Prince. She has also said in interviews (not the one posted here) that she was most intimidated meeting him and Madonna.
