RIPOPGODAZIPPA

Ripopgodazippa... I'm wondering if any knows of, any other version- than the Crystal Ball version? I had a long time ago. A video from Glam Slam that had Soundcheck- with people walking around- Prince's band (some) on stage... No Prince... and the play the song. No lyrics except backing. . I think it was one camera angle from the front- it was pro shot. Anyone remember that? Or anyone know of anything alternate, live, please let me know!

Yes he did an amazing verison of it at Miami Glam Slam club in 1994. It was either June 8 or 9th. But it was broadcast to the other Glam Slams back then and there are good copies out there of all three shows.on June 7, 8, and 9.

While there are possibly a lot of videos like that, it reminds me of the rehearsal for the Canal+ performance. The band ran through a bunch of songs. Prince eventually shows up and they run through "Endorphinmachine", twice. Once he stopped & told the sound guy he doesnt have to boost the volume for his guitar solo. It's a proshot because it was for a TV show, and of course someone is going to tape it. It's a pretty cool rehearsal. I remember he wore the same outfit he had on for the Vibe interview with Alan Light. This was probably 1994 or so?

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Thank you. You definitely narrowed down the search. It was June 9th, 1994. Miami Glam Slam. There is a vcd for sale I found. I'm not getting it- but it cites that night's set list as: or contents as:
1. Santana Medley
2. 319
3. Hide The Bone
4. Ripopgodazippa
5. Get Wild
6. Johnny

It also mentions it as the collection shown on the screens etc.
My new hunt begins. Thanks again.
( If it's the same as what I had back in the day- that's okay to)
