I found this yesterday by complete surprise and even though I had heard on the org that it was just a straight forward transfer from video, I thought I'd get it - cause my original copy is getting on 16 years old now.

I was actually surprised at the quality of it. Sure, it's not remastered, but the picture and sound were easily better than those old videos. It also contains photos, discography, bio (in Brazilian), subtitles in four different languages (learn how to say "Shut Up Already, Damn" in spanish!) and scene by scene access.

Now, if Warner actually released a remastered version with other extras I will be the first to pay the big bucks for it, but for now - I'm quite happy with this purchase.

BTW - I don't consider buying it illigal, cause I already paid for the original official version that is now slowly dying.

You didn't find the darkness of the picture distracting? At times it's hard to make out the background folk. Also, the sound has about 5 or 6 glitches in it.

This dvd sucks, the picture is dark and messy, the sound is crap... the hifi VHS official copy is much better in both image and sound. The laserdisc is still the best version so far.
