I knew it would be private . Ugh yes we are all unworthy of grief. No matter the ©️, Paisley Park "official can never ™️ . He gave that to us verbally on Oprah in 1996. You can't take away from us, corporate. I mean O ( + >

I hope Manuela Testolini and Eric Benet among others don't try and bogart to into the funeral ceremony. My heart goes out to Larry, Tina and Latia Graham whom Prince loved like his own family. Larry must have never planned on outliving his "Baby Brother" who he counseled as an elder statesman, showing Prince a spiritual path that Prince gravitated to on his own. In a way, I'm happy the funeral will be private. Prince was a human being that was someone's brother or uncle and the immediate family and friends should grieve away from the cameras. Plenty of time for public memorials in the future. 3121 #1 THIS YEAR

Are they really not going to include the fans in a memorial? Just doesn't seem right.

I thought they already had this service the Saturday after he passed and was the reason it happened so fast and that Prince didn't want a big deal about it. Larry Grahm was there. What is this? They need police to organize traffic. Sounds like they are getting ready for a circus... They announce online so all the media will be there? Will they have a sermon or whatever about how their beliefs may be part to blame for what killed him? Is this a direct response to the thing in LA? This is crazy. Surprise, surprise.
Another treat. Another trick.

They usually have a Biblical talk about death an also expressing the hope of the Resurrection back on earth into a righteous new system, unlike the present one all of mankind lives in now!! They also include in with the sermon about the person and how he/she lived and what he/she was like and did in his/her life!! They open and close with Prayer and also include an appropiate song from their own songbook, but then they also attend to the familys wishes on how a funeral or memorial should be conducted, as long as there are no pagan Satanic rituals involved!!
More than likely this will be a memorial rather than a funeral as there will be no body or coffin present!!

Given how private Prince was and how seriously Kingdom Hall takes the focus of worship of Jehovah during ceremonies, I hope most people respect and honor Prince's memory for his chosen faith and not sensationalize his funeral-TMZ and tabloids are a given that they won't. Although, I disagree with many tenets of the faith itself, Prince found comfort in the faith and I respect his commitment to it during his life because I know the amount of missionary work from proselytizing and bible study required to be on and given his nature as a celebrity had to have been challenging. After Sunday, it will be final acceptance that Prince Rogers Nelson made his transition from Earth to the afterlife. 3121 #1 THIS YEAR

In the article in the OP, it mentions a lot of "High Profile" guests who are going to attend, they would most likely include the Minnesota State Governor, Mark Dayton, the Mayors of both Minneapolis and St. Paul(not sure who they are now) and probably a few Senators or Representatives like Al Franken, etc.!! Thats my asumption of this, anyway!!
This could be a very prestigious event, something of which the JWs are very much unaccustomed for!!
