Still listening weeks later on repeat.

One of his absolute strongest albums.

Its so funny I am listening to this too - I forgot I even had it because it is in the stilly dome packaging with Crystal Ball that is almost impossible to open. But I realised this is one album I had not put into my iTunes and so hunted it out. It has been years since I played it and now making a wonderful discovery and loving it. I am shaking my head at myself for forgetting I had it, but I put all my offical CDs into iTunes for my iPhone years ago and stored the original discs in my closet, but this was one I overlooked in the set. So happy I dug it out.

I think it was wise to release it with CB because according to early critics when P sent a promo to the press, it wouldn't have made a great impression at the time. I still remember how Magnus Nilsson killed it in Uptown

But I love it deeply, it's one of Prince's most intimate works, a very organic follow-up to Emancipation, and there's a mood that's quite unique in his whole discography on it
