The Truth and ONA piano have always been in my top 10 Prince albums, since I ordered them from Mpls directly. I have the impression that not many Prince fans, even folks here, have fully appreciated these cds when they came out... Maybe that changes now? [Edited 5/12/16 11:23am]

Still one of my favorite Prince albums.
Plus, I am one of the rare people that really like "Animal Kingdom". Hahaha

When I think of what albums need a vinyl release those 2 are right up there. Both brilliant albums. I must have nearly worn my Truth CD out if that is possible.

Those two albums have always been on my top 10 as well. They it well together. I love it when he made an album as cohesive as these.

I rediscovered it the other day, and thought what a wonderful album it is, especially the (very moving) Don't Play me, the Truth (a good one if you are very angry or sad), and Dionne (sweet sound)... It is now one of my favourite albums. Life Matters

Always loved The Truth album from day one, still waiting to purchase a genuine copy of the ONA Piano album.

From what I recall (and reading in various books etc) THAT was the original intent. The Truth was going to be Prince's second album released through EMI. However, EMI went down and had to be rescued. As a result all promotion of Emancipation stopped and The Truth couldn't be released as EMI needed to restructure. 'I loved him then, I love him now and will love him eternally. He's with our son now.' Mayte 21st April 2016 = the saddest quote I have ever read! RIP Prince and thanks for everything.

ONA Piano is still a bit difficult for me to listen to at the moment as it is very melancholic, but still sweet and very beautiful. I always wondered why the other One Night Alone...Live! has got that title though (when he is not alone but in concert). Life Matters

I've gone veggie since he died. I had an epiphany of sorts. Wanted to make a positive change in my life i suppose.

Yes i can only play upbeat songs of his at the moment. The piano interlude part he was alone just him and his piano. Don't know why both albums had the same name.

Excellent album. I just wish I had a version with a little less overproduction. A cleaner, more natural acoustic guitar tone. Way fewer sound effects. "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

Bad taste, but the lyrics of fascination are (potentially) ironic; the pills gonna leave a side effect that will take another pill to correct and the whole thing's leaving you less than good. Apologies but it was one of the first lyrics that came to mind once the percocet rumours began, and makes it even harder to conceive.

Yes, great idea...but I´m actually very concerned about re-releases of his post WB output. Even the WB album The Gold Experience is out of print and at this point I have no idea who gets the rights to his post WB albums and internet only independent releases. And then you´d still need someone who is familiar with Prince´s work and what to release, and how, and what format. I don´t care about his will or lack thereof but I am worried about who is going to be in charge of all his music. It´s ironic that the music of the most prolific musician ever is in such danger of being unavailable to future generations. Sure, we probably don´t have to worry about his WB catalog but he deserves a proper preservation and archiving of his whole catalog. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"
