Since there is no will, how did they know to cremate the body? Was it Prince's wish to be cremated? If so, doesnt that get stipulated in a will? Maybe there is some other way to make that known after death that I dont know about. Save America - Stop Illegal Immigration. God bless America. PEACE

It's usually up to the family to decide on how they are laid to rest, so this would have been up to his sister as they had no will with instructions to follow. It might be the JW way too. I have no idea, but it would have undoubtedly been the family's decision.

I've been asking myself the same question ... especially since they cremated him so quickly after his death and no will had been found at that time! All I've read about it is that Prince had said something like he wanted no big media spectacle but nowhere does it say he left instructions to cremate him. In the absence of a will all I can hope for is that he told his sister Tyka to do it like this, and I also hope that more people were present when he said it ... Forever changed

Their mother was a Jehovah's Witness. They knew what to do.
