Prince had a house on an Island http://www.popsugar.com/home/Prince-Turks-Caicos-Estate-41248819#photo-41248819
Famed Paisley Park compound in Chanhassen, MN, was where Prince worked, but when he wanted to play, Prince headed down to the Caribbean. The now-deceased artist owned an exquisite $12 million home named Serendib on the island of Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos. He purchased the 10,000-square-foot, 10-bedroom, 10-bathroom estate in 2010. Ideally situated on more than three breathtaking acres, the property includes two private white-sand beaches, a 200-foot boat dock, a lighted tennis court, gardens, a pool, and a separate three-bedroom staff house. There are, of course, Prince-worthy special features including a breathtaking hexagonal living room with ocean views on two sides, a gym, a studio, and a media room. Robert Greenwood of Christie's International Real Estate told TMZ that Prince was only partially moved in (we can only imagine what a process it is to furnish a house of that size) but had decorated with a few pieces from the Purple Rain set and painted the driveway his signature purple hue. Robert also told the Turks & Caicos Sun that the estate was among the most exquisite in the Caribbean, which explains why we found old vacation rental listings for Serendib with the whopping price tag of $4,000 to $8,000 a night. The sun also reported that Prince was a low-key resident who embraced the privacy island life afforded — he was known to make an appearance at the island's music-filled New Year's celebration, even offering up a surprise performance on occasion. It guess it is true. A friend of a friend is a journalist and P invited him to his place there (plus others I imagine) to listen to his new album. I can't recall which one and I bugged my mate to find out where this place was and tbh forgot about it. So I am guessing this is the place. Whatever you heard about me is true

Somebody posted a link to a local article here on the org back when P first started spending New Year's down there. The story vanished from that site within hours. Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

This is supposed to be it.
Inside Prince's luxurious Caribbean bolthole: Late singer's private villa boasts 10 bedrooms, two beaches... and a purple driveway (and it could be yours for $12million)
A stunning Caribbean hideaway belonging to the late singer Prince – complete with 10 bedrooms and a purple driveway – has gone on the market for $12million (£8.3million). The idyllic retreat in the Turks and Caicos boasts 10,000 square feet of living space, jaw-dropping views of the Caribbean Sea, two beaches and amenities that would guarantee privacy and luxury when the star was away from his permanent home in suburban Minneapolis. The Purple Rain singer’s bolthole is set on a peninsula on the atoll of Providenciales – once named the world’s best island – famed for its crystal clear waters, white sand beaches and exclusive properties. From that URL, just put 21°45'26.36"N 72°11'7.14"W into Google Earth. It'll take you right there. Edit: I think it's the house east of those coordinates. There is a house next to it, with a dark purplish driveway. [Edited 5/10/16 18:02pm] [Edited 9/5/16 21:17pm] Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

hoping that if the beneficiaries of the will are all agreed on what to do to maintain Paisley and ensure the Vault material gets treatment it needs then this property could be sold to invest capital in getting all that rolling without making awful deals with the record companies ** do something, before we're gone , and we're just a rock where a world went wrong...**

Wow, heaven on earth. I am happy he had a private quiet place to retire to. Just wish he had done it more often and worked less. "Free URself, B the best that U can B, 3rd Apartment from the Sun, nothing left to fear" Prince Rogers Nelson - Forever in my Life -

Probably not..
He should have revealed the pain that he was under...It's beautiful, but people with pain (Arthritis) -find the islands ease pain--being away from the cold of the mid-west..
He should have hired a real Naturopathic Wholistic Doctor or practitioner and Nutitsionist too..

I wish he had enjoyed the peace and quiet in Turks more.
You can do the Turks on a budget. Stay away from Provo where the resorts are. Try Grand Turk or we used to stay on a small island called Salt Cay. No phones, internet, TV just us, the beach, books, and the sun. We did all our own cooking since there were no restaurants. It was nice to get away from it all for a few weeks. It does wonders for the mental health.
Of course P may have gotten bored relaxing.

. Sounds perfect. . That was one thing that always bothered me about Prince and why I was glad he went back to his natural look. Being and doing 'as little as possible' is the art of living and the science of being. One has to be able to operate at various levels for true spiritual contentment. But I can see how health issues or pain can get in the way of that. Still... relaxing is exactly when the body and mind rejuvenate and it feeds the soul. I agree. We go a small island in the BVIs now for our 2 week escape.
If reports are to be believed P did not have much down time. The rumors about not sleeping are scary. You have to slow down to heal.
