Former chef´s anecdotes

http://www.foodandwine.co...ivate-chef

This is an interesting and unsual article from one of Prince´s former chefs (though not the last one who worked for him). She´s very honest and straightforward about her lack of experience and spur-of-the-moment meals she cooked for him and his guests.

I was surprised that she didn´t even know how to make a cappucino. wink

" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

She mentions Coachella, which was 2008 IIRC.

The only part of this article I found somewhat sad was the part about him making his own eggs. It was endearing, but also a bit lonely.

I thought this was going to be an article about his current chefs but it was a past one. Cool article. Call me crazy, but there's something about the current chefs, the Roberts, that I don't really like. Maybe it's because they came out so early to tell story.

THIS. So much this. Their first "interview" was heartwarming in spots, but they even mention they signed a nondisclosure agreement. Then I don't think it had even been a week when they did a second intervene saying he had been suffering from throat and stomach problems, and that just really bothered me. You're hired help chefs, not doctors. Doctors without NDA's wouldn't even have done that because of HIPAA laws. And maybe the nondisclosure technically ends with his death, but have some respect for the man you called to view as a friend and whom you knew craved privacy.

This other article from the previous chef in 2008 I actually enjoyed and found it interesting and respectful. The people talking about Prince who "knew" him and are using that for their own agenda while disrespring him often in the process, really need to STFU as far as I am concerned.

Sorry I will get off my soap box now.

Strive

lol

And of the 75 three-course dinners I made, he returned exactly one dish: a five-spice soup. Since I’d omitted the chicken stock to make the recipe meat-free, I doubled the amount of onion (I’d read somewhere this can enhance flavor). But the result was horribly bitter. There was nothing I could do to fix it but he had guests, and I needed three courses. Minutes later he carried his full bowl back into the kitchen, put it on the counter and simply said, “No.”

The randomness of people that worked for him is striking. A lot of it just seems to be timing,'friend of a friend' and suddenly you're cooking for Prince, like wtf?

I'm not into conspiracies at all, I like looking at facts but it seems they were trying to cover their "behinds" and why did the chef go check to see if Prince finished his meal? All the details of Prince's eating habits should have been told to the police and the investigation team not the general public.

I think it's great (in a way) that she recognized an unhealthy work/life balance and got out. I can imagine that would be a hard decision to leave the employment of a superstar.

I don't believe conspiracies either, but I do believe there are people who can communicate with the dead. Take what I'm about to say with a grain of salt, but it blew my mind, ok ? So I was on Utube last night and there was a woman (I'll call her J) who claimed that on the 24th of April, Prince came to her and said that he had been poisioned (arsenic) over some months by his chefs and had suspected it, that's why he hadn't been eating their food. That he was about to let them go because they had been taking advantage of him - he had given them extra money, paying their kids' tuition. Prince said that they had privately thought he was an "elitist asshole". So on his last night he had asked Juell Roberts to make him some lemon water with pineapple and had stood there and watched her make it and put it in the fridge (He told J that when Juell put the water - in a glass container -into the fridge she had slipped a liquid dose of cocaine and morphine into the water) before she left for the night. So later that evening he got a glass of what J said he called " the poison ", went up to bed and was sending emails and making calls. At around 12 am he finished the water and shortly thereafter began feeling sick. He got up and was trying to get downstairs to the fridge because he suspected the water but didn't make it and died in the elevator. Ray and Juell Roberts, along with the doctor's son, were the 3 people who found him. Prince told J that Juell had gone to the fridge and dumped out the water. The untainted food was still there, right ? Remember the Roberts' came out with their story on the 28th. SO ! Then I clicked on a video of another woman doing a taro reading (done on the 22nd of April) off of Prince's energy and it blew what was left of my mind. She did some insightful, quiet readings from 3 card decks, not knowing any of this info. I'll leave the link and you guys can make up your own mind.

It's strange because someone made a thread about a youtube video where this guy uses the ouija board and Prince was speaking to him and said that he was poisoned too. It's actually slander if you claim someone committed a murder and you might go to jail so I don't know if those psychic mediums can get in trouble.
I simply found the chef's actions to be strange that's all and they should have told all of this to the investigation team not to the media.

Nice story, but I could never ever work for a celeb, they're just way too demanding! biggrin I've seen reality shows where people are personal assistant to them, and I feel so bad for them, because so much is required of them. It's tough!

I saw that video too but didn't watch it. J said that Prince is coming to many people all over the world in their dreams (a lot of Orgers are saying they are having dreams of him). Also that the Roberts' put the Percocet on Prince, I guess in his pocket. Why would he be carrying around a bottle of Percocet in his pajama pocket ? Makes no sense.
