What if a Prince Rogers Nelson Academy of Music Was Created

If anyone wanted to do some good for the future and honor Prince, they would open an academy

to for students to study and perfect their style of musicianship. Ages ago, early 80's, I remember seeing an interview where he mentioned wanting to

start a school - and later said that if he were not playing, he would like to teach. Always looking to the future, - and sounding sad at times that so many of the new generation doesn't play or even sing (lipsync) their music, this would be perfect. Just a thought. Peace and Love.

Oh, I was misled by the title. Anyway his ex-wife said in an interview, that she told him she wanted to name a school after him.

why would you suggest it be called Princ Rogers Nelson Academy of Music when you know he didn't like his slave name. His name is Prince

As I understand it, Prince took back his name - there was even an interview regarding this - after the Warner Brothers incident.

I would certainly donate as well. Or even not something so costly to start, even a Prince music scholarship fund...

I truly believe this is what he would want PP to become to get young people learning to play instruments, sing, write, produce, record etc. I think if it just became a museum it would be a waste. The egg could be the museum part. Incidently that wastnt built till later i was lucky enough to visit in 87 and definatley not there then! This would mean his legacy would live on as he did tell Tavis he would teach if he wasnt a musician!
