I just wanted to introduce myself and say that like all of you, I’ve been a long time fan. My older sister went to see Purple Rain in the movie theatre when it first hit the theatres and after, she went right out and bought the soundtrack. I pretty much stole it from her and she never got it back. I listened to it all the time, like obsessively lol. This was how I was introduced to him and it went on from there. I grew up with him and I never imagined that someone with such a powerful life force would suddenly be gone. Most sincerely, I’ve been an emotional wreck since he left us and have felt pretty lost – my heart aches. I just wanted to say that this place has been a good place to come and hang out and when I’m here, I don’t feel so disconnected. I just wanted to say thank you all so much for the great posts with stories, interviews, photos etc. I’ve laughed hysterically at some stuff (thank you!) and cried at others. Thank you for reading and hugs to everyone. I’m right there with you all.
