Adonis And Bathsheba Appreciation. When I first read about this song it intrigued me. I loved the title. Then I heard the one minute snippet and my appetite was truly whetted. I remember reading on The org the full version had been leaked and I was beside myself with excitement desperate to download it. After finally hearing it, even with high expectations I was still blown away. How could he just leave a song this magnificent in the vault. It was everything and more I had imagined. It has that psychedelic other world dreamy vibe to it that many of my favorite Prince songs have. This song that he left in vault would make my top 5 Prince songs ever. | |

This is one of my all-time favorite Prince songs. I love it so much. It's the sound of pure joy. "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

Yeah this is pure brilliance, just a wonderful, strange, almost pastoral fantasy that only Prince could have come up with. Whenever I'm think of songs that demonstrate Prince's incredible creative achievements in the 1986 golden era this is never far from my mind. I respect Susan Rogers a great deal but I honestly have no idea how she could have completely dismissed the song upon hearing it, that's crazy to me. Heavenly wine and roses seems to whisper to me when you smile...
