There should be legal penalties associated with false claims.

False claims are attempted fraud/theft at the end of the day. 10 years minimum would stop that shit.

There are people who could truly believe that their father is someone who is not. I would hate to sentence someone to 10 years because was mistaken about who their father is.

Although my siblings and I are rainbow children (from very light skin to dark, blue eyes, brown eyes, blonde hair and brown and black hair), we at least look like both of our parents.

This dude tho....HELL 2 DA NAW! He don't have any of Prince's features. He just dont! Im an artist and I can see resemblances. BUT this dude definitely dont have any of Prince's or rest of family's resemblance at all.

I know I shouldn't be laughing at this paternity situation, but this thread has brought me some comedy relief. In all seriousness I hope this paternity claim gets sorted out, along with any other claims to his money.

Well, we shall see if the DNA results gives proof of that. The Daily Mail ran an article stating as many as 700 people are claiming to be siblings of Prince. So the madness has begun. [Edited 5/9/16 19:16pm]

I heard that on the radio today. When I got to work, I looked up the article and saw that it was the Daily Mail, so 1st the claim sounded pretty outlandish to me. There have been only 2 official heir claims so far, the long lost sister and the alleged son. 2nd, I've seen other outlandish claims about other topics in the Daily Mail, their credibility is shaky imho.

The dj on 99.9 KTDY Lafayette, LA went into this rant that made my jaw drop. He was talking about people making the claims need to work instead of waiting for a check in the mail. I'm thinking to myself, first the story sounds suspect and 2nd, even if 700 people actually made the claim to be an heir, how can you presume that they all don't work and want to wait for a check in the mail. He went on to say that those people will never know the joy of earning a pay check. I know plenty of people who earn pay checks and have no joy what so ever because they bust their butts and still can't put food on the table.

This may or may not be Prince's son, but I refuse to dismiss his claim because the guy isn't light skinned. Nobody here was there in '76 when Prince may or may not have gotten the chick pregnant so to say there's no way P. is the dad because the guy is dark (which is what y'all are actually sayin') is baseless. I don't think this latest "son" is the possible heir that Heir Hunters International were alleging recently. According to one article, their candidate approached them with a credible story, and did not want his identity revealed. Unlike Carlin Q. Williams, this man is in his 30's and lives in Minnesota. The story goes that his mother and Prince crossed paths several times in the 80's. However, it doesn't seem like they have lodged an official claim yet.

Man Who Claims He's Prince's Son Wants a DNA Test
by Inside Edition 4:24 PM EDT, May 2, 2016

An unidentified Minnesota man has come forward, claiming to be the secret son of pop star Prince. John Hilbert and Shar Mansukhani are the owners of Heir Hunters International, a Los Angeles firm that searches for heirs to estates. “We had an individual call us, he was raised in the Midwest (and he) had a very credible story,” said Hilbert.

According to the company owners, the man is in his 30s, lives in Prince’s home state and says he was born after his mother had a fling with the singer in the 1980s. “He does not want any publicity. He said ‘Would you please tell me the procedure for proving my paternity. I have no interest in having a press conference,’" Hilbert told IE. Prince was found dead in an elevator at his Paisley Park compound on April 21.

Prince’s sister, Tyka Nelson, and four of his five half-siblings are trying to sort his estimated $300 million estate. Nelson has asked for a court-appointed executor to oversee the musician’s fortune, saying he died without having filed a will. The man claiming to be Prince’s son has asked to take a DNA test, according to Hilbert and Mansukhani.

Everybody's looking 4 the answers
How the story started and how it will end
What's the use in half a story, half a dream

No arguement from me on that one . I have an adopted son who is the spitting image of me
And it would not surprise me in the least if there was an heir out there . But this story is pretty far out there.
I use to work for an adoption agency, sometimes we would have adoptive parents hooked up with birth parents that had totally different coloring than they did , and sometimes that baby would end up looking more like the adoptive parents as far as coloring and all.You can inherit looks from your great , great, great, great grands etc .
I'm not going by looks at all, rather a very suspicious story .

I was wondering where the credible part came into play .And I thought they said he didn't want publicity. That would be sad if Prince had a son living in the same city and never knew about him ...

Truth can be stranger than fiction. I'm reminded of a case reported in the press a few years ago...

White Baby Shocks Black Parents: Medically Possible?

Black parents say they gave birth to white baby.
THE SUN
Black parents say they gave birth to white baby.
Ben and Angela Ihegboro and their beautiful new baby girl Nmachi. (The Sun)

(CBS) How did Ben and Angela Ihegboro, a black Nigerian couple living in London, give birth to a white daughter?

The answer may not be so black and white, experts say.

According to the BBC, there are three potential reasons for the baby Nmachi's unexpected appearance: "dormant white genes which entered both of her parents' families long ago, a genetic mutation unique to her, or albinism."

The first reports on the family's strange case had ruled out albinism, but the BBC says Nmachi's doctors have not ruled it out.

Albinism, a condition whereby a person has little or no color in their skin, hair and eyes, can remain dormant in genes for many generations. Just because the couple's living relatives aren't afflicted by the disease, that doesn't mean they aren't carriers. It is not uncommon in Nigeria, according to the BBC.

But it's not the only possible explanation.

Doctors also say Nmachi's parents may harbor long dormant Caucasian DNA from a long forgotten interracial coupling, according to the BBC. A third possibility is perhaps the most tantalizing but also the scariest. Nmachi may have a unique genetic mutation that doctors have not seen before.

I totally agree with you. I was just saying the possible heir in their story seems to be a different guy that the one who just came forward, Carlin Q. Williams. They have different ages, dates, and places of residence.

I checked out his Facebook page and it looks as if he's been claiming Prince is his father some time before Prince's death. He probably does believe Prince is his dad. Maybe his mum told him Prince is his dad. Maybe he knows something we don't, just bring on the DNA test.

Why would you assume somebody wouldn't come out and say that if that's what they meant?

Dumb assumption.
