Some women wear heels their whole lives. Anyway I think it's what he did in the heels that caused pain not the heels themselves. [Edited 5/4/16 12:59pm] Baby, you're a star.

yea i mean jumping off the pianos, dancing, all the touring in those heels...
anyone know how many inches the heels were? some say 4 inches others say 6 inches... if he was 5"2 that means he was either 5"6 with heels or 5"8?? | |

I think when he was younger the heels were longer and then a little shorter later on , i might be wrong and he did all those spilts in his heels too.

deff agree.... if u look at his heels from the lovesey era vs. the come era and other periods in the 90's the heels deff look higher back in the day.

It wasn't so much the heels... it was the stunts, jumps, splts in'em. Most women in my family wear heels for their entire lives. Of course more tamer ones the higher the number, the lower the heel. You start a stiletto and end a Kitten! So much rumors and gossip out there, who knows if it wsa the heels or whatever. Having been in gymnastics, dancing and teaching group exercise, doing splits in high heels, is dangerous for the most in shape athelete. He woud slam his body down so hard, then glide it back up, that motion right there.. as wonderful as it was to watch, I bet is what did that hip joint the worse damage. Look at Tina Turner? The Rockettes, so many other women wearing heels. They just dont do the acrobatics. | |

Sammy Davis Jr. used to wear heels, too. When you look back at the outfits musical acts wore in the 70s, Prince really isn't all that different.

Women are more likely than men to suffer from chronic pain. So if the painkiller story is true, it's probably a combination of shoes and what he did in them, and there could certainly be genetic factors in there as well. It's not uncommon for people to start suffering from the very beginnings of arthritis at his age, either. And I see all of your creations as one perfect complex
