Was enjoying the wonderful hot weather this weekend in the UK and was happily outside chatting with family and friends at a garden BBQ.

Not a care in the world, soaking up the sun and eating good food. The kids were screaming and laughing as they do...

AHa Take on Me was playing on the hifi....but then next 'When Doves Cry' started playing...

At the same time I was chatting with friends about something stupid I cant remember what about, a sadness started to swell up inside me. I could feel myself getting teary and had to go in the house for a moment to myself and not to look like a stupid idiot in front of friends.

37 year old dude....thought it wouldn't affect me but unconciously it has....its been a while since his death but still its the sheer loss musically I am mourning right now. To this day the musical talent that has been lost is so immense I still cant comphrend.

Prince was amazing...recently I came across this video of Gene Simmons talking about the loss of Prince....he really hit the nail on the head and agree with every word he said.

It hits me to tears at random times.
I'm also 37- and Prince was just always a part of my life. For You came out the year I was born and I think it's just hard to imagine a world without him. I don't even care what people think. it sucks and it's sad.

37 here too. I've getting on with my life as usual from the very fateful day but every so often his music comes on the radio or alike and it makes me sad to realise he will never make any more fantastic music.

I had planned on listening to him well into my old age and was looking forward to what an 80 year old Prince would sound like!! Crooning and twisting away.
