Nice! I always thought Michael Keaton was cool. Now I find him even cooler. Just a few minutes ago I finished watching a movie with him coincidentally. Maybe he wasn't the most popular Batman but Prince delivered the best soundtrack of them all. 'Liberate My Mind'

. Really? . Better than what The Bee Gees delivered to "Saturday Night Fever"? Better than what Simon and Garfunkel delivered to "The Graduate"? Better than what The Beatles delivered to "A Hard Day's Night"? Better than what Prince delivered to "Purple Rain"? . Come on, that "Batman" soundtrack is a pretty atrocious soundtrack album. Good album, but for enhancing the essence of a film it is pretty darn bad.

Based on the context, I'm guessing he meant the best soundtrack of all the batman movies (of which, sadly, there are many).

No. There have been better soundtracks (Rocky Horror Picture Show) but Prince's Batman soundtrack sums up the movie perfectly. Prince doing the songs for Batman is as crazy on paper as Michael Keaton playing Batman but in both cases it just worked.

Ben Affleck came very close (as in, VERY close) to being my favourite live action Batman but Michael Keaton is still The Batman to me.

THIS! Endorsing now "So here I sit in my lonely room
Lookin' for my sunshine But all I've got is two cigarettes And this broken heart of mine So let the rain come down Let the rain come down Let the rain come down, down"

Cool words from Micheal. I was searching online to see if Kim Basinger has said anything yet...(not that she's obligated to).

I totally agree with U Electric Chair is my jam, I've been listening to the soundtrack today Is it the best soundtrack of all time? er no, but its the BEST Batman soundtrack of all-time, that's for sure IMO Batman Returns is the best Tim Burton Batman film Michelle Pfeiffer is the best catwoman since Ertha Kitt (who is me is the Ultimate catwoman of all time.) Don't get me wrong I think if Halle Berry had a decent script, special effects, score etc her Catwoman would have been up there too. However, Catwoman sucked major donkey balls [Edited 5/11/16 0:08am] [Edited 5/11/16 0:10am] Keep Calm & Listen To Prince

Personally, I prefer the Batman soundtrack. Saturday Night Fever just wasn't my cup of tea. Rocky Horror Picture Show, on the other hand, is head and shoulders above the Batman soundtrack.

Better than Saturday Night Fever? Yes Better than the Graduate? Yes Better than Purple Rain? . That's not being objective or realistic at all. . Do you prefer the style of music on "Batman" over the disco of "Saturday Night Fever" or the folk/rock of "The Graduate"? Yeah, that may be the case. But to say that the "Batman" soundtrack does a better job for the film than "Saturday Night Fever" or "The Graduate" is ridiculously absurd.

Yeah, I much prefer the music on Batman to either of the other two soundtracks but I will concede that the music of Saturday Night Fever is PERFECT for the movie. It just fits so well. But I don't agree with your comment on Batman being a pretty atrocious soundtrack album. The two most prominent Prince songs in the movie are used to great effect. Partyman plays on one of Joker's thug's boom box as they trash the art gallery. The Joker is announcing himself as "The new King in town". The fact that Joker feels the need to hear Prince as he goes about his random act of violence is further proof that he's insane. Later on, during the Joker's parade, we hear the song "Trust". Again, it's not just a song the audience can hear, but also the characters in the movie. Joker is dancing to Prince again and throwing cash to the cheering crowd in a bid to get them on his side, and "trust" him, over Batman. Neither of these scenes are very subtle but in a movie about a disturbed guy dressing up as a bat and beating the shit out of criminals, you don't need to be subtle. Scandalous plays over the end credits and doesn't feel out of place, and some other songs from the album feature in the background during the party at Wayne Manor, again, not out of place to have Prince music on the radio during a party. The people of Gotham have a good taste in music.

Even in terms of Prince's movies, batman wasn't the best. Purple Rain > Sott > Utcm > Batman. As far as batman soundtracks go, it was the best overall album. Single wise, Kiss from a Rose was an amazing single, possibly the best, highest charting I would guess. Comparing apples and oranges with the others, they were all great soundtracks. Personal preferences at end of the day. A Hard Day's Night or even Gifdather were both better at end of day. If you need a tie breaker or final word, just remember... They tossed Batman LP at zombies in Shaun of the Dead. Cuz baby you shock my wire with sexual electricity extraordinaire

Always dug Keaton. Never seen him in a bad movie, my fave Batman & a gent "We just let people talk & say whatever they want 2 say. 9 times out of 10, trust me, what's out there now, I wouldn't give nary one of these folks the time of day. That's why I don't say anything back, because there's so much that's wrong" - P, Dec '15
