If you haven't already heard it, I recommend DJ Fundi's "Purple Reign" series. It's a great retrospective of the classics with some great, newer, underappreciated jams in the mix like Freaks On This Side, The Work, Get on the Boat, Madsex, On the Couch, and Wasted Kisses. Dig if U will the picture of U and Marvin Gaye and the kids. | |

well, it got to be too much of a bummer listening to prince the past few weeks. one or another song inevitably makes me feel weepy and then i'm sniffling along sadly on a beautiful day. . even so, chaos and disorder and come are on my 'next up' when i'm feeling less blue. those are brilliant albums. prior to, and during, prince's ill health and passing since basically march i've been listening to crystal ball, emancipation and the gold experience. they're excellent, of course. go for the gold baby | |
