What I find intriguing is that Prince changed his name to . Only Prince could do that. He got a lot of ridicule at the time for doing that, but looking back (and how it will be viewed in the future) it was genius.

Imagine someday if Taylor Swift, Adele or Bieber attempts to change their name to a symbol? It's been done - by Prince. I can't think of anyone in history who has done it before. Name change like Cassius Clay, yes - but not to an unpronouncable symbol.

The cross is associated with Jesus, but it's not quite the same thing.

Aw hell yeah. Few people did anything as bold as Prince:

-The name change

-19 year old kid demanding to produce his own record

-Giving away CDs with tickets to stick it to the charts

-Sending music to fans over the internet

Exactly, I was thinking of a fictional "movie" with a plot and acting. In that regard, 3 Chains Of Gold would fit the bill more than SOTT.

I saw SOTT here in the theater here in Detroit when it was out. My sister and her boyfriend took me because I was too young to drive. Hard to believe that's coming up on 30 years next year!

I remember it was not here for long, though. Maybe about 2 weeks.
