Is anyone going to the L.A. Memorial Tribute at City Hall tomorrow?

I didn't see this posted anywhere but mods please delete and forgive me if so.

The event is Friday, May 6th at 5pm outside Los Angeles City Hall. It is free but they recommend RSVP'ing here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/prince-tribute-at-city-hall-tickets-25008823063

According to social media reports the lineup includes Aloe Blacc, Eric Benet and Faith Evans, with others to be added/annoucned.

Not my ideal tribute but nice to see L.A. do something to honor him.

I'm debating. I don't think I'm ready to be around that. I also don't have a ride. If I decide to go, I'll definitely grab a cab cause I know parking will be unpleasant. Still not sure. Today hasn't been particularly great so I'm not sure about tomorrow yet. I know being with others is healing but I feel like it might just make me more sad sad

If I were in LA I sure would be there! I wish they were going to have something like where I live.

I just read The Revolution will be there as well. I'm thinking of going. To be brutally honest, Eric Benef surprises me a bit. But I hope it is a well done tribute until we get something bigger, hopefully soon.

Yes, that is rather strange, considering...

I know, I saw it is supposed to rain as well. But I figured it makes sense that the skies above will be crying as much as many of us will be below. :(

Sorry your job is preventing you from going. Hopefully there will be other tributes/opportunities.

I am hoping for that too. I know the official hashtag on Twitter is #LALovesPrince and the local media here is posting about it, so I'm hoping some outlet will be streaming from there. City Hall has been lit in purple since the awful day, and Shonda Rhimes went in and had two Prince songs added to 2 of her TV shows tonight. It is so nice to see Los Angeles showing him some love and respect. And hopefully everyone will be able to see tomorrow's tribute online.

Does anyone else have any information about who will be performing? I can't find info that the Revolution or The Time will be there anywhere. What about Sheila? Also, if you do end up going, what time do you think you'll arrive? I'm not sure what time I should go if I do. I know it starts at 5 but I'll need to get there earlier than that.

I might go . . parking isn't going to be a cool situation though so I'll have to park far away and uber over or something. It makes 7 hours and 15 days

I'm happy they are doing this

I really would like to go. I'm only about an hour from LA. But as those who live in Southern CA know, an hour drive in weekend traffic with forecasted rain can turn into a 4 hour drive and I can't get away. I'm already behind on work because I haven't quite been myself this past week sad

I only live 20 minutues away but traffic is going to be horrible especially during 5pm (rush hour on a Friday) plus it might rain. I'm going to pass and hopefully, not regret it later.

For those of you who are going, parking sucks and can get expensive. Go early and Uber if you can.

I don't see anything about a live stream online.

Some more info per the LA Times:

http://www.latimes.com/lo...story.html

Sorry but I still find the Eric Benet as a "headliner" thing quite odd, but hopeful is a nice tribute to Prince and his true genius and legacy.

You can search the hashtag #LALovesPrince on Twitter for more info and updates. They will be closing some of the streets downtown in an hour or so in anticipation for the crowds.

I will be taping the local news here at 5pm and 6pm in case any of them are broadcasting there live.

Broke down and decided to come. Feeling the tears already. There is already a line. I think the sooner you come, the better.
