I wonder how Prince changing his name to the symbol will be judged in the future. There are already many articles who think it was a brilliant move when not too long ago people thought it was the silliest move in his entire career. But these days I see more and more articles in support of what Prince did.

I think it damaged his "brand" because it devalued the name "Prince" as far as product marketing goes, and it wasn´t easy to go back to his real name again after seven years of touring and releasing under the symbol moniker but I have always admired Prince for the balls it takes to knowingly risk your career and reputation and stick with what you believe in.
