I don't think he was ashamed to be taking pain pills to live everyday pain free and do what he wanted to do. I think he wanted to keep going and not stop his creative flow that he was in for this Piano and a Microphone tour. I think he leveled up just playing piano and singing and he wanted to continue on that path. I honestly don't believe Prince felt he had some kind of addiction to these pills that would cost him his life and he refused treatment in some pig headed revolt to save face. | |

Assuming that he was suffering flu-like symptoms for whatever reason, sometimes if the body/immune system is weakened the virus can affect the heart lining and wall and weaken the heart, sometimes triggering a heart attack. This may explain the rapid decline in his condition and difficulty breathing. I am sorry you had to go through that. If you don't mind me asking, what treatment options did you have? It is very possible that his immune system was weakend prior to everything, & he succumbed to a secondary infection. I remember the first report mentioned walking phenomonia... I am going against my better instincts & speculating too much here. Ah, hell. Whatever happened, I just hope it was quick & he didn't suffer...  "All the world is faith, trust and pixie dust...''

Ya know sometimes I catch myself and think...man ai still can't believe that were actually talking about Prince no longer with us...this really sucks The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

Full heartedly agree. The moral of the story is SHAME KILLS. I only wish he would have lived to see how much he was loved by the whole world. I'm glad he left us "Sometimes It Snows In April." That helps. | |
