Yes and no.

If all you had was Work It, etc the anthology would give you new stuff in that it's supposed to cover all Prince-penned songs for himself and related artists that arent available on the official albums. Its not an outtakes set , everything on here has been officially released just not on albums ...

Looking at the tracklist above, I miss only few related artists mixes.
But I can't see any outtakes. Is it the complete tracklist?!?!?

On a side note I see:

Prince - [Anthology #14] 14. Manic Monday [Extended California Version]

Aren't they the same only with different title?!?!?!?
Or I'm wrong and there are some differences between the 2 mixes?!?!?

Yes, it should be the complete list. The California version of Manic Monday has a 19sec Beach Boys-like "intro", which is taken from the part in the middle of the song. Otherwise those versions are seem identical.

Not really.

Work It is unreleased stuff and this is pretty much all officially released, covering a lot of the same ground as FWV but much more extensive (especially in respect of recent stuff).

I didn't check thoroughly but I should have all that stuff but with various sound quality. Is the collection consistent in sound quality?

Yes and no.

If all you had was Work It, etc the anthology would give you new stuff in that it's supposed to cover all Prince-penned songs for himself and related artists that arent available on the official albums. Its not an outtakes set , everything on here has been officially released just not on albums ...

If you had Work It, etc, all the official albums and all official releases of Prince penned songs for others, there's nothing new on the Anthology collection..

Looking at the tracklist, if you have all the official releases (P, associates, other related artists) down to the singles/remixes, as well as boots such as work it 2.0, 30 years, blasts, and 12 inch archive, safe to say that you don't really need this anthology?

Yeah, that's a major consideration, also whether those flacs are all truly lossless. We're talking about 50 discs here. Anyone?

ah ok! Sorry I misunderstood what was said earlier, thought it was released and unreleased.

I would give it a shot but only if it exists as a torrent. there's no way I can make a direct download of 50 CD's

There are no outtakes in the Anthology. It's a very good effort to have all the officially released stuff by Prince and stuff that involved Prince (in one way or another) in one collection.

Having commercially available music on a bootleg collection makes me a bit queasy. I would probably get it, feel guilty about getting it, and then work through my guilt by listening to it a bunch.

You could make yourself feel better by knowing that a lot of this stuff is not available to buy anymore.

If that's the case, I don't think it's a complete collection then. Where's Chaka's I Feel For You, for example, just to name but one? And it's probably doesn't contain many of the long out of print Paisley Park releases.

Chaka's "I Feel For You" technically is a cover. So it is right not to have it included.
