What Makes You More Mad?

When the news, the entertainment programs and the magazines do a Prince story?

Or when they don't do a Prince story?

On the one hand they SHOULD talk about Prince....

On the other hand....

??

I want them to talk about Prince for years and years to come. Everybody on the planet should know his name. I'd be furious if they just acted like it was nothing.

I agree. But some of the stories are mean-spirited.

True, but he's always had mean-spirited stories written about him. We just need to be good at seperating the lies from the truth and praise respectable stories.

I'm mad that all of a sudden people are Prince fans. All those friends who use to make fun of me for being a fan are now "instant fans". Where were you before? mad

Exactly, don't like him now, you didn't use to like him. As far as the news, they are irrelevant and want ratings.

Today was the first day I was in a grocery store since and I had a very hard time at the check out. Some covers made me tear up and others like the Enquirer made me mad.

I want them to write because it matters.

This morning breakfast was spent reading all the newspaper articles, front pages, specials of all the newspapers I bought that awful day. I just couldn't do it before. I notice a lot of errors though in what they say. Fans know better. So journalists should do their homework properly and print what they have researched properly and not just make up stuff to fill the page.

.

Prince always said media 'press-stitutes' were full of stories. He was right and as in any media story you need to research multiple sources to find the truth.

I'm angry because if it were MJ dead again EVERYONE would care. I've been having a hard time with P's death (as the rest of us) and no one on Facebook has commented about him or even said RIP, nothing! As soon as I dissed another artist some guy wanted to start shit with me!

I know I sound like whiny brat but I don't care, this is truly how I feel and have felt since Prince died.

I'm angry every time I read any quotes from alleged friends, and they say things like: "He seemed alright.... He was pretty normal... He was always like that..."

It just screams "enabling leeches" to me.

...Or other friends stating that they were super-close to him, then saying, "Well, I talked to him on the telephone, a few weeks ago"...

That sort of thing.

I can cope with the tabloids' sensational exaggerated reports - it's what they do, and you wouldn't expect anything less.

It's his "friends" I have a problem with. Where were they???

Oh... And Beyoncé couldn't wait just one week to drop her Lemonade album.

The only place you can stream Prince music is via Jay-Z's Tidal. So, thousands of people probably subscribed in the week after Prince's death. And when they did, they no doubt gave Jay-Z's wife's new album a listen, boosting her streaming figures.

She couldn't just wait, and let him top all the charts for one week.

I hope WB get his music back on all the other streaming services, soon.

I'm no Beyonce' stan but I don't expect anyone to just drop everything because our guy is gone. Everyone isn't us.I do agree she could have waited but maybe she had money tied into it's release on a certain date. It was the weekend before her tour kicked off.

In my opinion, the Minneapolis Star Tribune has done an amazing job of covering their native son. I recommend you check their online site daily. For those of us far from Minnesota, it provides accurate information we are seeking. While the rest of the world has "moved on" and expects us to, the Minneapolis Star Tribune is covering every angle of Prince's life and the multifaceted story since then. I will tell you what is making me mad now. In the current EW there is small article about what will happen with the estate and the vault. They quote Sinead saying "All artists have unreleased material... because we didn't like it"

First I do not think that is the case with Prince and why must they continue to quote this woman who knew nothing about him.I would like to muzzle her.

Thank you for letting me vent.

i'm mad that prince's legacy includes this hyperinflated tabloid crap, and that it was all pr3ventable. he joins jimi hendrix, janis joplin, amy winehouse river phoenix and so on with respect to the crude speculation surrounding his death. poor prince sad

Yes, you definitely need better fb friends! Several of my friends posted sorrowful RIP posts, did tribute songs and posted photos. I did the same.

1.Mainstream news picking up tabloid shit as facts and running with it eg. Aids, drugs, etc.

2. Whats to come with the opportunists coming out of the woodwork claiming all kinds of crap eg. secret boyfriend, wife, lovechild, fake death stories etc

3. Lack of research about Prince proteges eg. The Time, Jill Jones, Madhouse etc.

4. Jokes about his death, it's not funny stfu mad

It does annoy me, to see the tabloids exploit him like this ,even the latest stuff which unfortunately features very prominently in the supermarkets etc.

Don't be silly! No one could tell him what to do if he didn't want to hear it, but despite this, it appears some of the people closest to him at the Park did try to help.

Lol they do suck but they're like that cause I never go around kissing their a$$es by "liking" and commenting on their photos. As soon as I start doing that they start being social with me and start "liking" my stuff too. It's BS.

I honestly just realized I haven't been looking at any news or media output about him beyond what shows up here on the Org and what shows up on the local news (they've been very kind, from what I've seen). Because I don't want to. I have a few magazines that I bought because I happened to like the covers, but I haven't read one article yet, again don't want to. Haven't been on Twitter in days (I need to do that though), don't do Facebook or Instagram. So no, it doesn't make me mad any kind of way.

I bought the Newsweek tribute magazine and I can't bring myself to read it either. I don't want to accept that he's gone.
