Can one of the mods make this thread a sticky please? Thanks

... it's worth it, there are so many good articles to read now or save for later reading so it's great to have them all together. I have saved many articles already as well, locally via Save Page As .., via bookmarks and also by adding them in the browser plugin Pocket.

I've noticed that quite a few articles I've read around the internet haven't been linked here, so I thought I'd start a thread much like the podcast link thread. It'll be nice to have one thread with all the online tributes & interviews.

Please feel free to add to the list!

can you go to the links an cut n paste what each individual posted about Prince?
If you click on each link, the same thing shows

I'm not really that much of a Ween fan, but I enjoyed this article from Rolling Stone.

http://www.rollingstone.c...506?page=2

"Prince kept the clamps down on his personal life. There were no nasty rumors. It was all about the music. Now it feels like the ultimate violation that people are gonna start digging into his life. It's so horrible every time I see speculation on his life now, or rumors about how he died. As a Prince lover, no one's supposed to go there. Nobody is supposed to be in his bedroom in Paisley Park. No one is supposed to be talking about his personal affairs. It's an awful thing. I'm very heartbroken. He was my John Lennon."

"(On visiting Paisley Park Studios) Suddenly Aaron goes, 'Dude!' I look over and he's hovering over a music stand in the middle of the room with a microphone. Aaron grabbed a page of lyrics and goes, 'Look at this!' In obvious Prince handwriting, there was a drawing of an eyeball for the letter 'I' that said 'Wanna suck you off.' I ran over to look at it, and the next thing I know we're horse-collared by two security guards. They fucking threw us out in the snow. That day I learned you don't grab Prince's lyrics off the mic stand."

Dig if U will the picture of U and Marvin Gaye and the kids.

Prince remembered by Simon Raymonde of the Cocteau Twins, a band Prince was a fan of....

**Oh boy. 2016 is one brutal year for taking the special ones, and there goes another with the magnificent Prince. As naturally gifted as Stevie Wonder, he was PROLIFIC and no one put on a better show than Prince. You wanna talk about VALUE for money?? He gave back WAY more than anyone could have expected. And blow me down, he was a fan of our band! Yes, he loved us and boy we loved him. It's almost surreal to imagine him listening to Blue Bell Knoll and Heaven Or Las Vegas. I was lucky to see him play 4 times and i remember the shows like i remember great films. Scenes stay with you. He'd been putting out music for almost 40 years. And i reckon he released about 38 albums in that time! And that was just as Prince! He also had about 22 aliases as well.

This is monumentally sad, unexpected and unwelcome news. When the world is teetering on the edge of collapse and ruin, we need our music and our culture more than ever. It is the mast we cling to, the tarpaulin we shelter under.

This year, hope is being tested daily, and it can only make us stronger to continue pushing our fine young artists out to you, in the hope that they, like Prince has done for so many years, can provide some respite from the relentless unease that most of us feel on a daily basis.

Prince Rogers Nelson rest in peace. Never to be forgotten.**

If you REALLY want to get emotional and cry some more, listen to The Cocteau Twins and look at old pictures of Prince....
