I'm not that great at math, but by my math there could be 39 x 3.5 albums, or 136.50 albums worth of material! Let's just say we estimate it to be just 10% of that in actuality; that's still 13 [completed] albums. Again, that's at just a 10% completion rate (a figure picked absolutely at random)! In a few years time, once all is said and done, we might get some new material from Prince that belongs alongside some of the greats we already hold dear. Obviously, I hate the circumstance, but wow, we may have some more GREAT Prince music to look forward to. Rest in peace, brother!... Even from the grave, you keep us moving and groving!

That's a great recap straight from Susan Rogers, Bland, Sonny, Erik Leeds, and Cat. . Susan estimated the vault contained around 700 or 800 songs the last time she worked with it, aroundd 1985. . Cat estimated the vaule contained around 2000 songs at the end of her time working with Prince. . Michael Bland estimated around 1/4 of the stuff he recorded with Prince has been released. . Eric Leeds estimated around 5-10% of the stuff he recorded with Prince has been released. . Pretty great to get this real info from the people that were there with Prince. so are we assuming that the reason Prince hadn't released much Vault stuff ( he was storing it,which indicates he did want something done with it!) was that despite having ticked off the rough requirement from WB for 1 album or so a year, not more the albums he had put aside were not where he was currently at, they were dated - not in the perjorative sense, I mean like simply tied to another year and a different era of Prince sound ... so now would be the time for release as sadly the vault stuff is the new stuff for the world from now onwards. ** do something, before we're gone , and we're just a rock where a world went wrong...**

I assumed whenever he's writing a new album and needs 'a fast, brassy dance tune' to close out the album for example, he's already got a creative bag full of songs that fit the profile. That way, he'd be able to dip into the vault to help him produce new albums until he's 90 years old if he wanted to, and it would always sound creative and musically brilliant. I wouldn't be surprised if there are hundreds of songs in the vault that became the inspiration for recent releases, whether than be a bass groove, lyrics, a chorus, or just a catchy title. Instead of putting his ideas on paper, he put them on tape. Nobody I know gun' bite

Also, in the proposed tracklist for "CB vol. 2" I knew already many titles, with short surprises.... strange been it a direct "vault" release.
