Me too, I kinda "thought" Prince would leave something for some of the musicians he liked like Janelle. Like a guitar, or some vault material they'd learn from.

If he'd expected to die imminently, I'm sure he'd have done so.

Its a refernce to owning your Masters/Publishing. So unless he was cool with having his 7 brothers/sisters and niece, scramble, fight and flail at trying and piece to together ownership and ongoing mgt of his music, it is unconscionable and incredibly naive and/or selfish to not have had a will.

Age/health as nothing to do with it. He could have just as easily died in a plane/car crash.

I'm not sure this is a given;

Under Minnesota law, a person can file a will with probate court in secret. So if Prince filed one, it wouldn't become known until a death certificate was issued.

If he had done this the Judge would not have issued his order appointing the bank as temp guardian. its been over a week. There is no will.

but if it was filed in secret with probate court, it wouldn't be made public until the death certificate has been officially released. Has a DC been released yet?

I would not be too surprised if he left a private trust as opposed to a will. Which according to Minnesota law can be kept private until a DC is available. I also am betting that Bremer Bank is the trust company that is supposed to b in charge of his trust. I also bet Tyka knows this...I could b wrong but I think she knows more than she's letting on
