No org notes, but I did once send a message to PP7 at the NPGMC discussing about a new form of therapy I was studying at school, EMDR, and a link to the information and said, "I wonder if this would work with music?" The idea behind EMDR is that a therapist taps the clients right knee, left knee, repeatedly and that client thinks about a trauma while moving their eyes right and left based upon the knee taps. The premise is that this helps to move the trauma from one side of the brain to the other, thereby decreasing the effects of the trauma on the individual. It's been used effectively with police officers and military personel returning from war. About 2 days, he released Guitar on NPGMC and it moved from the right and left channels, back and forth, throughout the entire song. . Another time, he posted a picture on instagram about throwing a kiss to the audience and said, "Did you catch it?" I replied, "Oops, I missed! Do it again!" Later he posted on twitter that he *kisses his own hand....but doesn't throw the kiss*. I miss one time and he turns into a tease. . Another time I emailed LotusFlow3r support, a meditation I'd had which told me to reach out to Prince and they told me that they would make sure he got the email, and I asked him in the email twice "Where are you?" I explained I wasn't talking about the superstar him, but the man that so lovingly points to God. He had been absent for awhile. I also told him that sometimes we seek out answers that we've had all along. A couple of weeks later, he came out with "Cause and Effect" and the song starts with the infamous, "I am here! Where are you?" and then mid-way through the song again, "I am here! Where are you? Haha". . I also asked him on twitter to please make Free Urself available for download, that one week wouldn't be enough. He retweeted me and later removed that tweet. Around the same time, he asked whether everyone wanted a Free Urself t-shirt and showed pictures of those. Then he posted, "Ask and ye shall receive" with links for the t-shirts. Then right after that, "Btw (link to Free Urself on itunes) : )". . There's been other interactions over the years when I first found his L4OA website, but I won't go into those. . Yeah. I kept a lot of things to myself for years, except for a very close friend. I had no reason to not share them, but it just never seemed right to do so. . The worst has been that last retweet. Seeing that on CNN and the media... ugh. [Edited 5/5/16 20:45pm]

. Thanks. I do miss him, though. His presence. I thought it would begin to decrease by now, but it seems like it's just hanging on. Reading back through those, and other things, and I'm crying. He was / is a special man.

Was listening to "Around the World in a Day" today and it really got me. The fact that he died alone is really bothering me. Like, REALLY bothering me...

He learned something from you! A couple years ago, someone posted on the org a TED talk by Elizabeth Gilbert basically about being a "genius" or being a vessel for genius. I made an "analysis" relating her points to the recent death of Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson (and that Prince understood better how to deal with genius). Then, like the next day or so, he's landed in Australia for some concerts, and gives an interview in which he brings up a TED Talk by Elizabeth Gilbert and how it relates to Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson! Some org members claimed it's a coincidence - but that's a huge coincidence! I think he was checking out our posts and absorbing the ideas that he liked. So... who on here was talking about chakras in the past few years??
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
. Yeah, but I remember reading here about Guitar and how people hated how it moved back and forth between the channels and couldn't understand why he did that. I was thinking, "well, I'm not going to say why he did that! " . Don't believe in coincidences. . As for chakras, this is something Prince has been familiar with for many, many years. But it's something several of us would talk about in P&R in relation to meditation. Chakras wasn't anything new to Prince, though.
