To those who never got one, yes they hurt, sometimes hurt real bad especially with alot of outline by bone.

I have the symbol on my hip surrounded by roses. Unfortunately I was young when I got it done and didn't have much money to spend on a good quality tat, so I've grown to hate it lol looks like a fat blob on my hip. However, the week he passed I coincidentally had a tat consultation arranged for a completely different piece. Once it happened, I knew I had to switch gears so I'm starting a new Prince tat to cover the old. It'll be bigger and better and I'm so stoked. I actually can't wait to post the whole situation here on the org and share it with you all. I have my first session next week

I'm going to get one too but I'm going back and forth on whether I want lyrics and a small symbol in two different places or just the lyrics. I'm going to thoroughly think it out before I do it becauase I want it to be right.

this is a raw time, if I was even a tattoo guy I'd be holding off because I don't know what design or lyric would mean the most for the long term.

Same here. Not really interested in getting his symbol, but a short lyric from him (for me) would be more meaningful...but I need time to think through how I want it.

Hey everyone, this is my first post to the ORGy but I've been a Prince fan for almost forever. Back in the 1990s, I worked as an artist at Epic MegaGames (now Epic Games) and worked on the Jazz Jackrabbit series of games. In the first episode of Jazz 2, I decided to pay homage to His Royal Purple Badness by naming it "Formerly a Prince" and I parodied the cover of Purple Rain. You can see the image here:

One time at a late night Paisley show a girl in the front row showed Prince her new tattoo of him. he ran back behind his keyboards, got his bible, and came back and spent a few minutes sharing some scripture with her. i took it to mean he didn't approve of tattoos. Or it could have been 'idol worship'.

That being said i am thinking of three smaller prince tattoos. the paisley park logo, the yes logo from lovesexy, and maybe a symbol.
