Prince's music if he didn't become a JW Guys, Just been thinking if Prince didn't become a JW in what way would his music possibly evolved? Would he still got deeper into his sexuality and explored more x-rated topics. Do you guys prefer a particular era of His music i.e pre JW or post JW? Thanks Sam

He was already going into spirituality and was essentially making up his own phylosophy before that.
JW just gave him a bunch of new strict rules and new mythology to latch on to but he was already predisposed to conspiratorial and magical thinking. Dont think it would have changed much but I do think perhaps he would have been more open to homosexuals and avoided some of the backward thinking shown in TRC.

Prince's music if he didn't become a JW..... The man of science has learned to believe in justification, not by faith, but by verification - Thomas Henry Huxley

I think Prince has always gone against what was mainstream. In the 80s when Darling Nikki was causing people to clutch their pearls, he continued to push boundaries and people's comfort. Then when everyone's writhing around in their underwear in music videos and it's no longer shocking, Prince gets spiritual and stops swearing. Of course a lot of it had to do with his religion, but I think part of it was him going against the grain.

He probably would have evolved, or matured, because it is a natural process as you get older.
JW is quite narrow in their world views, as opposed to some other religions, which are more tolerant. This is the path he chose. I am just glad that we have all of his older work, and he certainly was one of the greatest entertainers, IMO.
