Watching some of the great videos on YouTube and witnessing Prince's chemistry w/ Sheila E on the Parade tour (and her chemistry with the band, specifically Wendy), I am really wondering how these girls did it.

How did the girls enjoy being in the business of Prince when he was fucking all of the heterosexual girls around? How did Wendy not blow up on Sheila knowing (by 86) that he was not only fucking Sheila and writing songs for her, but engaged to Wendy's own sister? How did Susannah still have the energy to enter into the studio to record songs like "Miss Understood" and "Desire" when Prince was fucking Jill Jones and Sheila and who knows who else in '84?

They knew, but I guess they each wanted a lil piece of him...something that they only had with him and I guess they were willing to give up a lil respect to have him. Except Vanity....she wasnt havent that shit that was my girl.

I remember reading in one of the bio-books that Wendy confronted P about his "womanizing ways" while he was dating Susannah. They heard "Forever In My Life" and thought that was his way of proposing to Susannah. Guess not!

Didn't Sheila recently say that she didn't know he was dating or still with Susannah? I never thought he was with Jill much after he started dating Susannah. I mean, he at least knew Wendy from the time of the Rolling Stones gig (she was there), so I assume he met Suannah soon after at some point, and then started dating her later.

How much of it was for the stage and public image, especially someone who was as image conscious as he was. As time goes on, we'll hear more about it, and I'm sure some want to take secrets to the grave.

He actually did propose to Susannah and gave her a ring. She also lived with Prince for a while. Until he bought her her own place not far from him and put her in a Big Tall Wall. I guess it was like his relationship with Susan Moonsie (Private Joy) he wanted her exclusively but did not want to be exclusive.

Thing is it seems that they had a RESPECT for one another. I think that is why you see all of them from that time still together whether it is staying in touch or performing

Prince definitely had a powerful effect on women. Just look at the Mel B interview. She was falling for him over the course of 30 minutes. By the end, she didn't want to leave and was looking for excuses to see him again. "We should do a movie together. I'm serious." Prince laughs and escorts her to her car. But then again Jamie Foxx almost fell under his spell, too.
