this is really hard to take ain't it. we were really lucky to be alive during all that music~! prince really was part of an era

i dug around in my closets today, spring cleaning and finding alllll my prince albums. i have quite a stack of memory lane to stroll down.

Posting here or not I will continue the purple reign. Prince was my soulmate. You can't forget soulmate. He gave me so much just by being himself and sharing his gift with us. I don't really care about anything else. Hell, I'm not even dating and I'm already trying to figure out how to get married at Paisley Park. I have the whole ceremony planned.

I've just listened and watched the Purple Rain 1985 concert in Atlanta and I am BLOWN AWAY! No wonder people complained so much about concerts in recent years. This was a young and on another plane/level Prince. Absolutely freaky music and really out of this world. May 2016 so many years later. In a way I am glad I've waited, I know there is going to be so much more to discover...

I'm enjoying the relative rarity of condescending know-it-alls who barfed over everything and nothing, those who said no one but an handful of "fams" cared about him and his music, etc.

I'm also wondering about what we'll learn he may have been hiding, like chronic pain, an underlying disease, etc. all things that may explain why he was not "playing the PR game", going on massive tours, etc.

I put some important P dates in my diary for the next 12 months, to make sure I don't miss them and can honor him by playing his music, watching his movies and posting about him.

I wanna go on a trip somewhere on June 7. I have the day off on June 8 so I'd leave after work. I was thinking of going to a city in the neighboring country (The Netherlands) where I bought my first boot (Jewel Box).

btw the day after the bad news I wasn't in my own country either, I was on a one day work related trip to Germany (I teach German) to the town where I had bought Controversy years earlier on a school trip as a pupil. It was kind of a full circle experience. lots of mixed emotions that day

Since 3rd eye girl I didn't visit the Org that often. I really liked the whole period since Musicology untill 20Ten and the W2A performances I saw on the internet. R'R Love affair was also good imo.

But that didn't mean I didn't come here and follow what was happening and I still bought his new stuff. AOA had some great songs. And I've been a fan since 1999 so I know sometimes a direction in his music can be loved more or less.

And I will still come here....2 read and listen about what Prince fans think or feel, discovered or think about some (new?) release or whatever...

I'll miss him 4ever but Paisley Park is in our heart

Thank you - I take that as a huge compliment, I really do but the Peach and Black guys are quite simply the best.
