Am I the only one that hates going to grocery stores right now?

Apparently there's no libel laws protecting the deceased in most states, so the tabloids are running wild. ¡The Future Is Ours, If You Can Count! https://www.youtube.com/w...A_zTY0qWWk

Those magazine covers are horrible But I have sadly seen this online as well, not just grocery stores. Gossip even in newspapers writing shit.

It's almost like the three magazines got together in advance to decide who will be going with each angle, so as not to duplicate headlines. I'm no conspiracy theorist, but it seemed really odd that they each had a different "reason" for his death. Maybe two or three of the magazines are affiliated with each other? No love, it's totally normal. I could not do it when mj died either and felt I was going nuts cause there was no way to get away from it. It's kind of like that right now too though he's getting better treatment in comparison and the credit he deserves for music .

Had the same feeling at a supermarket the other day. And it got real bad because I saw someone buy a copy of the Inquirer right next to me. I almost said something to her. But she was old and probably stupid so I decided against it. Even the Newsweek edition that is all dedicated to Prince has a rushed sort of feeling to it. As if they called "first".

Bound to be a feeding frenzy in a case like this - They strike while the iron is hot, and the off the hook interest will quickly fade within weeks. The National Enquirer has been sued so many times in the past that years ago they tightened up on their sources, and while not "reliable" per se, and probably the most reliable of the bunch. They have successfully defended themselves against many suits, so they must not be pure trash like most others. As others have noted, the bar is lowered in cases of the deceased, with the argument being that it is impossible to defame the dead. I remember Stalins grandson tried suing in Europe some years back about Stalin being called a mass murderer and the EU courts shot it down.
I think some states make exceptions for minors, with parents being allowed to sue ,,, And also, they have to be caseful the defamation doesn't spill over to living family, friends and associates who most certainly can sue.

Nope. You are not the only one. So disrespectful, but what's most disturbing is that people will actually pay for these rag mags.

I refuse to even acknowledge that they exist. I have mags with P on the cover prior to his death and plan to keep it that way. "I don't make the rules. I just play"

I haven't been to the grocery store recently so I haven't seen it. However I have seen all of the online pages being posted everywhere. It is annoying and extremely disrespectful but that's what tabloids do. Plus, as a fan of another artist who the tabloids made a habit of ripping into, I'm kind of used to it. Within the next couple of weeks or months they'll likely move on to something else. [Edited 5/1/16 12:10pm] ~ You're a desire, I get higher every time I speak your name ~
