D&P mentions "If I gave you diamonds and pearls would you be a happy boy or girl? If I could I would give you the world but all I can do is just offer you my love"

and

"there will come a time when love will blow your mind and everything you look for you'll find"

I find this symbolic because with him now gone the vault is on everyone's mind and if it's true that they will be releasing it then he will be giving us his "love" which was music.

Yes was watching that video the other day. It is one of my faves and seeing him with the kids I was starting to tear up

It's a beautiful video and one of my faves too but I don't think I can watch it now, it'd be too much for me

I miss prince so much but I'm grateful for his music and look forward to the vault being released .The Dr gave me some pills for my recent depression but I know that the cause of my depression is Prince's passing and taking the pills isn't going to bring Prince back .So I'm not even gonna take them and am trying to deal with it my own way

I'm so sorry to hear that. Truly.

I have some pretty bad depression too but I've already had it for years (due to a lot of factors) and with P gone I've been real numb lately. I can barely express emotions.

I took antidepressants for a year and a half and they turn you into a zombie, at least the ones I took did. It's great that you are trying to deal with this naturally. Unfortunately I still need to take pills but thats for other issues. But I don't think I'll ever go back to antidepressants. They kill creativity and personality.

Just rememember you have us all here and we're all going through the same thing one way or another

I'm sorry to hear about your depression also . hopefully it will get better for everybody on here .yes I tried Zoloft for 2 days and it made me feel too relaxed and I couldn't even think straight .I'm sure prince wouldn't want us to mourn but to celebrate his life and music .I hope everything gets better for you.I consider everyone on here as friends and I love this site.idk what I would do without it.

I'm saying this from experience: please don't take medication to deal with the grief, at least not right away. You technically can't be diagnosed with depression unless it's 2 or more weeks. And feeling down from grief is not clinical depression, you just need support and a safe space to talk it out, in addition to this board. If it's prolonged grief hand in hand with depression, then that's different, and talk therapy is better, or at least hand in hand with it. If you're taking it for something else before this, I apologize.

Diamonds is Pearls has always been my fav song ever, but when I listen to it the song it doesnt make me sad. It makes me happy and that's the way I envision Prince and Rosie being when they first sang it The video IMHO is Prince's third best after WDC and LRC I will always love it.
