Like most things I think they look better in hand, plus yours in particular is a very solid, dense wood with some weight to it, you could practically knock a horse out with that thing. So it should easily last generations, only common thing that is harmful to it is direct sunlight which over time would degrade it and change the purple hue to more of a brownish color.
I have a few more very unique things I made that I will be listing on the marketplace when I get around to taking some pics, I see it has opened back up. Don't think I'll recreate the wood ones unless requested but the little light thing probably will. | |

Purpleheart is a tropical/exotic wood species from South America, it is one of the hardest/densest woods in the world. It is from a genus that inclues quite a few other vibrant species including yellowheart, orangeheart and redheart. | |
