Setlist for celebration of Prince's music that I curated for tonight

I just finished playing 4 hours at a local record store to celebrate the music of Prince. I thought some of you might be interested in the set-list. My goal was to structure it somewhat like a set-list of a concert, with a good flow, but also be a career overview. Almost every one of his albums is represented at least once. The response was really positive, and the last section was particularly emotional for me.

Anyway, i'm proud of how it came out and wanted to share. Peace and love to you all.

Nice playlist. Covered all the spectrums and sounds of our man. I went to the "wrecka stow" yesterday and they were blasting the "Batman" soundtrack. I thought that was cool

biggrin Thanks much, I appreciate it. Some tracks I had to leave off were physically painful, heh. The entire process was very very difficult but in the end I'm very happy with the result. Our man just has so man great songs....

For the most part I wanted to keep it upbeat, so I kept the ballads to a minimum. I wanted it to be a celebration, building up to an emotional ending section. So that was the goal. I had fun doing it. I felt like I had a chance to say goodbye by celebrating his music with other people who love him too. I'll definitely never forget it.

Great work. Totally with you about leaving tracks that have too much of an emotional impact off the list. Well done.
